Graduate Curricula

The main purpose of this section is to help NCSU Graduate students decide among course offerings so as to best pursue a career in Circuit Design. Below, we have prepared some sample outcomes and specific advice to course choice. Please refer back to the ECE Graduate Curricula pages. Additionally, make sure to satisfy the current requirements in the graduate handbook.

Please remember that this is only advice. It mainly reflects my personal views and feedback I have received. Also note that the graduate course offerings changes at a fairly fast pace. Feel free to follow your own intellectual curiosity, and to seek other sources of information.

The philosophy behind the course clusterings is threefold:

  • Ensure the student has solid theoretical underpinnings to work in this area
  • Include the 'core' design courses
  • Include the 'application' courses or related material that has to be understood in order to be effective in this area
