Northrop Grumman offers a wide variety of challenging Software Engineering positions for students graduating with a BS and/or MS in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering. You will have the unique opportunity to rotate through several areas of software engineering within our organization in order to find the work that best interests you.
Software Engineering positions involve full life-cycle product development on architectures ranging from distributed networks of workstations and PCs to custom designed real-time embedded systems. Applications include real-time control, target class/detect/tracking, data acquisition and analysis, signal processing, chemical & biological hazards detection, networks and communications, intelligence data cross correlation, image processing, database management and GUI development. Software engineering technologies utilized include Object Oriented Design/Programming, Client-Server Distributed Architectures, Service Oriented Architectures, C/C++, C#, Java, Embedded Real-time Development, Database Design, Web Technologies, J2EE, .NET, and the Unix, Linux, Windows, VxWorks and Mercury Operating Systems. GPA 3.0 or above, as well as the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, which in turn requires U.S. citizenship, is a job requirement.
