9th Annual Freshman Engineering Design Day

Freshman Engineering Design Day provides a venue for the fall 2008 entering class in the College of Engineering to present the results of their semester-long projects from the Introduction to Engineering and Problem Solving course. Each student team in the course has designed, built and tested a simple engineering project. Examples of projects include a balsa-wood bridge, a webpage, a catapult and a miniature electronic robot. Student teams will present their designs in a "trade show" format, and participate in design competitions.
