Emerson is a diversified global manufacturing and technology company serving industrial, commercial, and consumer markets around the world and is recognized for an outstanding management process and record of consistent long-term performance.  Within that management process is a requirement for review of all developmental processes and artifacts.  All engineering groups are required to undergo audits of their developmental processes against the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Models.  The original model was the SW-CMM, however, Emerson is currently migrating to the new CMMI model.  In addition, all technical artifacts including requirement specifications, design/architecture documents, human computer interface specifications and code must be reviewed.  In this talk, Emerson’s review processes will be discussed.
