Lazzi to speak at Foundation Fighting Blindness Quarterly Meeting

Dr. Gianluca Lazzi of the ECE Department at NC State University will be speaking at the Foundation Fighting Blindness Raleigh Durham Chapter Quarterly Meeting on Saturday, October 13th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, NC. He will discuss recent advances in the development of a retinal prosthesis that replaces the functionality of lost photoreceptor cells in the human eye.
In addition, Linda Morefoot, a participant in the Phase I clinical trial of the retinal prosthesis, will discuss her experiences with the artificial retina and answer questions.
