Biography

Dan Green is the Director of Information Technology for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University. He and his staff provide hardware and software support for the largest department on campus and more than thirty affiliated research groups -- supporting over 500 graduate students, 150 faculty and staff, teaching labs serving 1500 undergraduates, and over 1700 total computers and printers. Dan has been a vocal advocate of Microsoft Active Directory, consulting with many colleges and departments and helping to define this technology on campus.

Dan has been a Systems Administrator for over twenty years, receiving his Masters of Science in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served as a technical reviewer for O'Reilly's "Learning Windows Server 2003" and “Windows Server 2008: The Definitive Guide." His public speaking engagements include numerous talks on Active Directory and was featured as a panelist for “Managing Endpoint Security from the Server with Group Policy” at the EndPoint Security Conference hosted by ComputerWorld.
