Chow Awarded JSPS Fellowship

Dr. ChowThe ECE department congratulates Dr. Mo-Yuen Chow on his recently awarded National Science Foundation (NSF) Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship. A part of the NSF Division on International Programs, the JSPS Fellowship will allow Dr. Chow to establish research projects between the Advanced Diagnosis and Control Laboratory at North Carolina State University and the Intelligent Control System Laboratory directed by Dr. Hideki Hashimoto at University of Tokyo. The topic of their joint research will be "IP-based smart space and network control systems".

The award is specifically for travel expenses for the awarded Principle Investigator to travel to Japan. The award amount will depend on the actual time Dr. Chow spends at the University of Tokyo, but is estimated be around US$12,000.00.
