The ECE Graduate Student Association will hold its first seminar on Saturday, April 12, 2003, from 9 am to 2 pm. Intended to showcase various departmental research groups, each talk will include a short presentation and a question-and-answer session.
The GSA hopes to offer up to 17 research presentations meeting the following goals:
- To inform all graduate students about the research being conducted in the department.
- To acquaint graduate students with the various research groups, and the involved faculty members and students.
- To help them determine the kind of work they would be interested in and to collaborate with faculty on the same.
- To provide an opportunity for Masters thesis and PhD students to sharpen their presentation skills.
A short lunch break is scheduled from noon to 12:45. Food and refreshments will be provided.
Abstract submission forms
for participation will be collected until March 27 by Kamala Subramaniam
via email or in 308 Daniels in order to produce a book of abstracts by April 5.
