New Faculty Join Computer Engineering Program

We are pleased to announce that the ECE department has hired two new faculty for the Computer Engineering program: Dr. Yan Solihin, recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Dr. W. Rhett Davis, recent graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Solihin's specialty is computer architecture with emphasis on embedded systems architecture and intelligent memories. Dr. Davis' specialty is in ASIC design and VLSI systems. Both are joining the department as tenure-track assistant professors and will start at NC State ECE in the Fall 2002 semester.
