ECE Student Xi Chen Wins Best Student Paper Award at EPEPS 2011

Dec 12, 2011

Xi ChenXi Chen, a Ph.D. ECE student working with Dr. Rhett Davis, received the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Electrical Performance of Electronic Packaging and Systems (EPEPS) 2011.

The paper was co-authored by Xi Chen, Dr. Rhett Davis, and Dr. Paul Franzon. The topic of the paper was "Adaptive Clock Distribution for 3D Integrated Circuits." In it, the authors present new techniques to realize highly adaptive and reliable clock distribution with good variation tolerance for 3D ICs.

EPEPS is the premier international conference for advanced and emerging issues in electrical modeling, analysis and design of electronic interconnections, packages and systems. It also focuses on new methodologies and design techniques for evaluating and ensuring signal, power and thermal integrity in high-speed designs. EPEPS is jointly sponsored by the IEEE Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology Society and IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.
