The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University announces the Second Annual Freshman Engineering Design Day to be held Wednesday, December 5, in the McKimmon Center, Area #1, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Freshman Engineering Design Day provides a venue for the fall 2001 entering class in the College of Engineering to present the results of their semester-long projects from the Introduction to Engineering and Problem Solving course. Each student team in the course has designed, built and tested a simple engineering project. Examples of projects include a balsa-wood bridge, a webpage, a catapult and a miniature electronic robot. Student teams will present their designs in a "trade show" format, and participate in design competitions.
