ECE Professor Lazzi and Graduate Student Gosalia Win the IEEE APS "H.A.Wheeler Applications Prize Paper Award"

Based on the IEEE APS bylaws, the "H.A.Wheeler Applications Prize Paper Award" is given for the best application paper published in the Transactions
in the preceding calendar year. The papers are judged on the basis of technical contributions, style, and presentation, with consideration of the
application's significance of the results described. The paper written by Gosalia, Humayun and Lazzi entitled, "Impedance Matching and Implementation of Planar Space-Filling Dipoles as Intraocular Implanted Antennas in a Retinal Prosthesis," was published in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, August 2005.  It was based on the dissertation of Dr. Gianluca Lazzi's graduate student, Keyoor Gosalia, and is this years award recepiant. Gosalia and Lazzi will accept the award at the Awards Banquet of the IEEE APS Symposium in Albuquerque in July.
