Dr. Ghovanloo, assistant professor of Electrical Engineering, has developed a device that will allow individuals with spinal cord injuries and/or degenerative diseases, to have more control over their lives. His "Tongue Drive System," will provide greater control over electronic devices such as a powered wheelchair, computers, telephones and televisions. The main goal for this device is to give a severely disabled person the ability to lead a productive and more independent life.
