ITAP Online Applications Now being Accepted-

The application deadline for the Spring 2004 session of ITAP (Instructional Technology Assistant Program) is Wednesday, January 14, 2004. Staff members or student assistants should submit applications online at: http://lts.ncsu.edu/itap/apply.cfm

This program, offered by DELTA/Learning Technology Service, is a free training opportunity available for staff members or students who are working in conjunction with a faculty member to prepare web-based instructional resources.

Staff/student ITAP participants receive training in a series of core and elective workshops. In addition, they receive copies of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks MX and Adobe Acrobat software. Participants will be trained to use these programs, and upon successful completion of all ITAP requirements, they will receive all licenses for the software and be allowed to keep it.

Participants must prepare a supervised project to finish the program, and have approximately four months (18 weeks) to complete all of the requirements. Those in the Spring 2004 ITAP session will have from January 21 until May 21, 2004 to complete the program requirements.

Admission into ITAP is a competitive process. Applicants should be familiar with desktop-computing environments and must be working in partnership with an NC State University faculty member on an instructional project requiring a web resource. A maximum of 20 applicants can be admitted each semester. For more information about ITAP, visit our web site at: http://lts.ncsu.edu/itap.

Please forward this message to any student or staff member who may be interested in ITAP. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
