Conte wins Illinois Young Achievement Award

Feb 26, 2004

Dr. Thomas Conte, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been selected by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to receive the 2004 ECE Young Achievement Award. Conte received his M.S.E.E. in 1988 and Ph.D.E.E. in 1992, both from the University of Illinois. The selection was made in recognition of his “outstanding professional contributions to the field since graduating from the University of Illinois.” The University of Illinois Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is one of the nations largest and consistently ranked in the top 2 or 3 of all departments worldwide. Thus this award is a distinct honor. The award will be presented at the University of Illinois ECE Distinguished Alumnus Awards Banquet on September 24, 2004.
