New Visitors Center coming soon!

March 15, 2004
A First-Class Front Door Tens of thousands of prospective students, alumni, faculty, recruits and others visit NC State's campus each year. Beginning in 2005, they'll enter campus through an impressive new "front door" --The E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center and Advancement Services Building. Located on Western Boulevard, the new, architecturally striking 25,000 square foot facility will serve as a focal point for campus activities and a starting point for campus tours.Through high-tech interactive exhibits and a satellite Admissions Office, it will introduce visitors to NC State's colleges, campus life and the outstanding career opportunities awaiting our graduates. The new facility has received generous support from private and corporate donors, including a $1 million naming gift from alumnus E. Carroll Joyner; a $500,000 pledge from Harris Teeter and the Dixon Foundation; and a $250,000 pledge from Wachovia Foundation. Thanks to their vision and generosity, construction is slated to begin later this year, and by next year, NC State will have a "front door" that makes a truly first-class impression on visitors.
