Ann B. Goodnight, director of community relations for Cary-based SAS Inc., has been named one of the members of the
chancellor search committee at North Carolina State University.
Ann Goodnight is the wife of SAS founder Jim Goodnight.
The committee is charged with helping to find a replacement for
Marye Anne Fox, who announced earlier in April that she would leave NCSU to become chancellor of the University of California at San Diego.
Fox, NCSU's chancellor since Aug. 1, 1998, will assume leadership of UCSD in August.
Robert B. Jordan III, president of Jordan Lumber & Supply Inc., will chair the committee.

D. McQueen Campbell III, president of Campbell Development Inc.
Steve F. Warren, managing partner of Gateway Management
Peaches Gunter Blank, chair of the NCSU Board of Trustees
Winser E. Alexander, professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Tony Caravano, NCSU's Student Body President
Dennis M. Daley, chair of the NCSU Faculty
Todd R. Klaenhammer, a professor of Food Science
Marvin J. Malecha, dean of the College of Design
Laura D. Massengill, chair elect of the NCSU Staff Senate
Burley Mitchell Jr., the incoming president of the NCSU Alumni Association
