Matthew Lenzo recipient of AFCEA Commissioning Award

Apr 18, 2007

Matthew Lenzo, a senior in Electrical Engineering at NC State, has been awarded The Major General Robert E. Sadler, USAF Honor Award.

This award is the result of a national competition and corresponds to a similar award presented to the cadet graduating first in his or her class in Electrical Engineering at the US Air Force Academy.

The AFCEA Educational Foundation’s Commissioning Awards, established in 1991, annually recognizes ROTC graduates in each service selected for his or her distinguished academic achievement in the C4I-related fields.  In the Army ROTC program, this award is presented to newly commissioned officers entering the Signal Corps who stand highest in overall order of merit.  For the Air Force and Navy ROTC programs, the top graduating cadet and midshipman in Electrical Engineering or Communications Sciences receive the awards.
