Contacts for GaN Thyristors
NC State is partnering with Sandia National Labs to explore methods to create low contact resistance and reliable ohmic contacts for GaN thyristors. The ultimate goal is to ensure reliable electrical switching operation. This research could have implications on a variety of applications, including power converters and motor drives for electric vehicles, renewable energy integration and many other emerging technologies.
