Research Interests


Current Research

I am currently working on the project of a Wide-angle Beamsteering on a non-mechanical, liquid crystal (LC) polarization grating (PG) platform. The design implements topological phase variations to produce blazed grating profiles, thereby providing large field of regard. And I am working on Hyperspectral Imaging Polarimetry utilizing anisotropic diffraction gratings (PGs). We acquire spectrally dispersed and highly polarized diffractions of a scene using PGs. Such a design uniquely provides only three diffraction orders with ~100% efficiency so it can provide simultaneous acquisition of both spectral and polarization information without the additional modulation or post-processing.
