Philosophy
During the last three decades, the scope of electrical and computer engineering has widened dramatically largely due to advances in digital technology, computers and telecommunications. This expansion inevitably introduced new research directions with unparalleled diversity in electrical and computer engineering. While this may be viewed as an advantage for a discipline, we feel that choosing a research area has become exceedingly challenging for rising seniors in our field. Therefore, to help the students in shaping their future engineering careers, we believe that it is critically important to introduce different research areas in our field through well coordinated activities while providing the opportunity to carry out research on a specific topic of interest.
