Apr 14, 2005

Alex Harrison, Brandan Lennox and Oliver Serang won 4th place at the IEEE SoutheastCon Software competition in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Matthew Schmidt, a recent NCSU ECE graduate, coached the team.

The competition was modeled after the typical ACM programming competitions where the student teams are given a set of 8 problems to solve in 5 hours using one computer per team. The competition included schools from all over the southeast region. More information about the problems, rankings and the competition can be found at http://sec05.nova.edu/ .
