ECE Welcomes Career Services for Grad Students

The ECE Department welcomes Sara Concini into the new position of Director of Graduate Career Services, providing valuable guidance to our graduate student community as they prepare their futures.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is pleased to announce that Sara Concini has assumed the position of Director of Graduate Career Services in ECE. The mission of the new Graduate Career Services office—and its Director—is to be the trusted resource for students as they become confident and effective job seekers in the complex engineering fields and beyond.

Recruiting efforts from prospective employers are more and more focused on building relationships with engineering students who are in high demand across the country. The ability to provide career services on campus that benefit both the students and the employers ensures that those relationships are established early on and that our students are fully prepared to navigate towards and establish their future.

Ms. Concini has served a variety of student audiences on NC State’s campus, including spending the first five years of her Career Services work with students from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at NC State, and then serving as liaison to four College of Engineering disciplines, including ECE from 2012 to 2015. Most recently, she served students in the Master of Accounting program in the Poole College of Management.

“What I love about working with graduate students in their career search is the opportunity to guide them as they hone and polish their individual stories to highlight skills and capabilities that bring great value to their employer of choice,” explains Concini. “When a job seeker is confident and efficient, good things happen.”
