University Ambassador Application

Feb 18, 2005

The mission of the University Ambassadors is to enhance the recruiting efforts of NC State University by representing the institution to prospective students and parents.  Key responsibilities of University Ambassadors will be to conduct daily campus tours, serves as representatives for University wide events (Open House, Athletic Recruitment weekends, MLK celebration, etc.), and assist with other recruitment and yield activities sponsored by the University.  As representatives of the University we seek students to present a positive and accurate image of academic and student life at NC State.

Becoming an Ambassador gives students the opportunity to interact with other involved members of the NC State community, meet a wide variety of visitors to campus, and develop public speaking and interpersonal skills.  We are looking for enthusiastic, well-rounded, outgoing students who are willing to give approximately 10 hours per month to the program.

A copy of the application can be obtained at Daniels 232; they are due to the Admissions office (112 Peele Hall) by 5:00 pm on March 14, 2005.  Interviews will begin March 21, 2005.  Any questions can be directed to Lindsay Slattum at lindsay_slattum@ncsu.edu.
