ECE Students Awarded GOMACTech Best Paper

Eric Whitmire, Tahmid Latif and their research advisor Dr. Alper Bozkurt have been awarded the Best Student Poster Paper Award for their paper titled “Cyber-physical Network of Terrestrial Insect Biobots,” and presented at the 39th Annual GOMACTech Conference, Charleston, SC on March 31-April 3, 2014.

Dr. Solihin Listed in the HPCA Hall of Fame

Dr. Yan Solihin, professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NC State University, has been listed in the “HPCA Hall of Fame” which recognizes authors who have published six or more papers in HPCA over its 20 years of existence.

Escuti Innovation Lights Amsterdam’s Rainbow Station

The “Rainbow Station” project by artist Daan Roosegaarde was made possible by technology adapted specifically for the project through collaboration with NC State researcher Dr. Michael Escuti and ImagineOptix Corporation, the company he founded to pioneer patterned liquid crystal optic technologies.
